This won’t be quite the same world you remember though. This latest adventure begins right after Noctis and crew right after the prince leaves on his journey. A quick look at my calendar tells me that this didn’t end up coming to pass, but for good reason! This extra time has allowed the scope of the game to grow and evolve and it is now is planned to release worldwide. During the initial announcement, it was scheduled for a 2019 release, but only in Mainland China. Respected user Daniel Ahmad, on twitter, actually pointed out this morning that this was initially announced back in December of 2017. This may be the first big reveal for the game, but it isn’t actually the first we’ve heard of existence. This latest title is being developed in a joint partnership between the studios JSC of South Korea and GAIA in China, with Shanghai Oriental Pearly Group in charge of publishing. The little bits of information we have so far, translated from the Korean tech website Inven, state that the tentatively titled Final Fantasy XV Mobile, will be an MMORPG developed using the Unreal Engine 4. As reported by Kotaku, a new title set in the world of Final Fantasy XV is currently in development overseas. It appears that the boys are coming back. ![]()
